Open for all musicians with at least intermediate instrument skills. For any percussionists or drummers who might be interested, please note that the
focus will primarily be on learning tunes.
Participants must register for the full three-day workshop. Attending only one or two days is not possible, as the sessions build toward a short concert on Saturday, 21 February.

This workshop welcomes musicians of all instruments to learn tunes by ear, arrange them, and play together. The ensemble was created to give non-fiddlers a chance to participate in the festival and learn directly from various violinists. Throughout the three days, fiddle teachers from other workshops will drop in to teach the group a tune. By the end, you’ll have picked up around eight tunes in different styles from different masters, with a selection arranged and performed at the closing concert on Saturday evening.
Because every day builds on the tunes you learned the day before, participants are expected to commit to all three days of the workshop. You can play your instrument fluently and have
experience playing by ear.
Accordionist Jonas Malfliet, an experienced Ethno mentor, will guide this process and help to keep things on track.
