Peyo Peev & Vladimir Vladimirov

Peyo Peev is one of the most renowned gadulka players in Bulgaria today, a traditional three-stringed musical instrument played with a bow. He gives concerts actively and participates in different projects with the world-famous musicians Theodosii Spassov and the virtuoso players Ivo Papazov, Petar Ralchev and Stoyan Yankulov. Peyo is a soloist in the Bulgarian National Radio Folk Music Orchestra and a teacher in Academy of Music, Dance and Visual Arts “Prof. Asen Diamandiev” – Plovdiv. He won the Golden Gadulka prize twice, named after the famous gadulka player Yanko Petrov.

For this edition of Fiddlers on the Move he will perform with tambura player Vladimir Vladimirov, also from Bulgaria. Vladimir played with The Mystery of the Bulgarian Voices, as well as in the following projects: Folk five+, Vladimirov-Högstadius, National Folklore Ensemble Bulgare. You might recognize him from previous editions of Fiddlers on the Move where he performed with fiddle player Sofia Högstadius (2016 & 2019).
